FKCP History:
Our Legacy and History
Frederick K.C. Price III Schools was founded in 1985 by Mrs. Angela Evans, Apostle Frederick K.C. Price and Lady Elect Dr. Betty Price. The Lord gave Mrs. Angela Evans a vision of opening a bible-based school, founded on high academic and spiritual standards. This school would be led by born-again, Spirit-filled believers, who would stand before students daily as positive and influential role models. With this vision, Frederick K.C. Price III Schools was born.
Mrs. Evans named FKCP III Schools after her older brother Frederick III, who tragically died at the age of eight, and established the Schools to educate the whole child –spirit, soul and body. The legacy of the Schools began with the establishment of the Frederick K.C. Price III Child Care Center in September of 1985. The FKCP III Elementary School came soon after in 1986, and the Middle School and High School followed in 1987 and 1992, respectively.
25 Years of Learning
In 2010, Frederick K.C. Price III Schools celebrated its 25th year of education! To commemorate this milestone, FKCP III hosted a 25th Anniversary Dinner in the Youth Activity Center to approximately 300 current and former students, parents, staff, faculty, and supporters of the Schools. Special guests in attendance included Apostle Frederick and Lady Elect Dr. Betty Price, Pastor Frederick and First Lady Angel Price, City of Los Angeles Councilmember Bernard Parks, US Congresswoman Maxine Waters, and Pam McMahon, wife of the late entertainer Ed McMahon, who was also a longtime friend and sponsor of FKCP III Schools.

Pepperdine University
Many may not know, but Christian-based education has been present on the Schools' campus since 1937! Prior to Crenshaw Christian Center's move to the 32 acre Vermont Knolls grounds, the campus belonged to Pepperdine University, a small Church of Christ university now located in Malibu, California. The university was founded by Christian businessman George Pepperdine who, during the school's opening ceremony in 1937, stated his intention for the school was especially dedicated to a greater goal of "building in the student a Christ-like life, a love for the church, and a passion for the souls of mankind." (http://www.pepperdine.edu/about/pepperdine/history/) Unknown to Mr. Pepperdine, this blessing on the grounds would prepare FKCP III Schools for what it is today: a biblically based college preparatory curriculum with personalized attention for all students.

After Pepperdine moved, Crenshaw Christian Center bought the property in 1981. This "Church that Faith Built" was founded by Apostle Frederick K. C. Price in 1973 at 9550 Crenshaw Blvd in Inglewood, CA. Because of its ever increasing membership, CCC purchased the former Pepperdine University with the intention of building a structure to house more that 10,000 members; in 1984, CCC moved all of its activities to the grounds. Crenshaw Christian Center started out with a congregation of 300, and now faithfully teaches the Word of God to its over 18,000 members and people worldwide. Crenshaw Christian Center has seen tremendous spiritual growth and prosperity, and now under the leadership of Apostle Price's son, Pastor Frederick K. Price Jr., will continue to inspire many generations to come.
Some of Crenshaw Christian Center's endeavors over the past 38 years include the founding of the Fellowship of Inner City Word of Faith Ministries (FICWFM, which has since been renamed to the Fellowship of International Christian Word of Faith Ministries due to its growth and global reach); the establishment of CCC East in Manhattan, NY; "Ever Increasing Faith" TV, radio, CD, DVD and magazine ministry; numerous books on faith, healing, prosperity, and the Holy Spirit; the Apostle Frederick Price Ministry Training Center; and the establishment of Frederick K.C. Price III Schools.
